Tower Hamlets Council fail to take action despite election pledge to divest pension funds from top 200 fossil fuel companies
25 Sept 2019, Tower Hamlets, UK -- Tower Hamlets Council has £37 million of direct investments and probably at least another £15-20 million of indirect investments in the fossil fuel industry through its management of the Council pension fund . In the 2018 Tower Hamlets Labour Manifesto, Mayor John Biggs made a firm commitment to divestment.

Together with Sustainable Hackney we run Hackney Fixers, who run events to help people get their electronics fixed for free.
